Patient Information >>
Little Falls Patient Services
Television: A representative will come by your room daily to arrange for television services. At that time, payment procedures will be explained as well as how to report any problems.
Newspapers: For your convenience, newspapers are available in vending machines at the main entrance of the hospital and the Evening Times may also be delivered to your room Monday through Saturday.
Telephones: Patient telephones may be purchased from the Switchboard operator. There is no charge for local calls made from your room, but long distance calls must be placed on a credit card or charged to your home phone. Pay telephones are also available throughout the hospital.
There is increasing evidence that cellular phones cause interference with the use of hospital equipment. This is caused by radio frequency interference generated by transmitters in the telephone that interfere with computer microprocessors vital to the operation of today's sophisticated medical devices. To ensure the safety of our patients, CELLULAR TELEPHONES MUST BE TURNED OFF (not on standby mode) while in the hospital.
Meals and Times: Based on your diet, you can choose from a variety of foods every day. Your menu will come to you on your breakfast tray for the next day's stay. Meals are served as follows: Breakfast - 8:00 a.m.; Lunch - Noon; and Dinner - 5:00 p.m. A small variety of snacks are available in compliance with individual dietary restrictions.
Mail and Flowers: Mail and flowers are delivered to patients on a daily basis.
Clergy: Clergy of various religious denominations visit the hospital each day. If you are interested in a visit from a member of the clergy, please notify your nurse and she will assist you with visiting arrangements. Also, for your use or that of your family, a Chapel is located on the ground floor, center wing of the hospital, behind the Human Resources office.
Smoking: Little Falls Hospital prides itself for being a Smoke Free Facility. For your safety and health and that of our other patients, staff and visitors, smoking is prohibited in all areas of the hospital and within 50 feet of any hospital building. Thank you for your consideration of this policy.
Fire Drill: It is necessary from time to time to test our fire alarm system. These tests are in compliance with the local Fire Department, state and federal agencies. Patients and visitors are not required to participate in routine fire drills which are conducted by our staff. In the event of an emergency, patients and visitors should NOT use the elevators.
Electrical Appliances: Appliances such as radios, hair dryers, etc. are not allowed without special approval from the hospital's Engineering Department. Personal television equipment is also prohibited.
Social Work: The Human Services Department at Little Falls Hospital is here to help you, your family and friends cope with the effects of illness. The Human Services Department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please ask your nurse for assistance in contacting them.
