The following CME was presented on June 10, 2008 on “Prevention and Treatment of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE): New Strategies and Guidelines for improving Patient Outcomes”, presented by Dr. Paul Skudder.

The goals and objectives of this presentation illustrated the current treatment guidelines for prophylaxis and management of (VTE) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in the high-risk hospitalized patient. 

Dr. Skudder is a Co-Director of The Vascular Laboratory Institute for Vascular Health and Disease at Albany Medical College. He is a graduate of the Cornell University Medical College.
