The Little Falls Hospital Board of Trustees is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the Frederika Vickers Conrad and Dr. Joseph S. Conrad Scholarship. After reviewing information provided by Little Falls High School, Christina Keavaney was chosen to receive the scholarship funds this year.
In 1973, Dr. Sue Conrad Quinby and Roger P. Quinby established the Conrad-Vickers Scholarship in memory of Fredericka Vickers Conrad and her husband, Dr. Joseph W. Conrad. The Quinby’s specified that the income from this fund be used to award a scholarship to deserving students within the Little Falls Central School District. Each recipient must have an interest in pursuing a career in medicine, para-medicine, nursing, laboratory, technical work, hospital administration, or other allied health field, to be determined and approved by the Scholarship Committee of the Board of Trustees of Little Falls Hospital.
Board of Trustees, Chairman, John Bullis, and Vice President of Human Resources, Jack Fredericks, of Little Falls Hospital presented Christina with a $500 award at the Little Falls high school. Bullis commented, “It is my pleasure and honor to present Christina Keavaney with this prestigious award this year. On behalf of the board of trustees and administration of Little Falls Hospital, I offer our congratulations and best wishes to Christina as she sets out to accomplish her very ambitious and worthwhile goals.”
Christina will be attending Marist College in the fall and majoring in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training.
