The following CME was presented on September 25, 2007, “The Evolving Algorithm Concerning Higher Risk-PCI (Teach-PCI)” presented by Frederick Ling, M.D. The objectives of this discussion were to describe effects of major and minor hemorrhagic complications on mortality, morbidity and cost of care as well as compare the following types of agents based on efficacy and safety: direct thrombin inhibitors, low molecular weight heparins, GP llb/llla inhibitors, and thienopyridines.
