Little Falls Hospital Mentors PT Interns

LITTLE FALLS – Little Falls Hospital is serving as a five-week clinical site for Elsebah Gekonge and Frankie DeKalb, physical therapist students.

Gekonge is in her final semester at Herkimer County Community College.  “This is my first experience working with both inpatients and second with outpatients.  I am learning a lot from my LFH mentors and value the experience of the one-on-one interaction with patients.“  After her completion at HCCC, Gekonge anticipates being enrolled in Utica College or Boston University.  In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, swimming and movies.

DeKalb is in his final semester at Springfield College.  “This is my first experience in both inpatient and outpatients.  The staff at LFH is most helpful and with the hands-on experience, I am learning a lot.”  DeKalb’s next clinical studies will be in Flagstaff, AZ at an outpatient clinic.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working out, ping-pong and running.
